Hasty Brook is the loveliest place in my world. It's a little piece of heaven in northern Minnesota.
She needs a warm bath and a glass of wine, poor thing.
Yah, she looks pretty beat. She hardly has tail feathers left, ha. Have fun up in Hasty Brook!
Reminds us that bird life is pretty hard, not just fun and flying around.
Aren't all mommas sometimes!!!
I was tired all the time with my twins, but these birds have bigger broods more than once a year. And grandma doesn't help out with babysitting. Good picture.
I wished I looked half as good when I was tired. She is a beauty!
She does look a little stressed. I think I have seen that look on my mom's face.
Wow . . your Northern Northern Cardinals (sorry, I had to) are so much more gray in the female form than ours in the South. Nice shot!
Taking care of the chicks is tough work.
They do look frumpy and annoyed this time of year, don't they? Worn OUT.
Sweet Lynne.Yours is the first blog I've been catching up with. I'm so sorry about your sister. The passage about your selection of flowers and music was beautiful. Your celebration of life is everywhere in the scenes you photograph and share. It's nice to be aware that when I come to your blog - a smile is growing across my face.
What a lovely pic, Lynne!I've never seen one of those beauties :(
I can't define why -- but this shot really grabs me. Great work Lynne!
It's been a tough spring and summer for that one. Great photo!
Hopefully the babies will be showing up at your feeders soon & ready to take care of themselves--it definitely looks like Mom needs a break!
Maybe her babies are eating too often....remember those days.
