I love that little Goldfinch all puffed up and happy in the water. I just noticed your temperature is 91 degrees on the sidebar. Wow! I hope it doesn't come this way. The birds must really appreciate the bath!

Amazing what a different perspective when the birds are viewed from above. Makes identification much more difficult because we aren't used to seeing them from that view.

Hope the weather moderates for the weekend.

Definitely a little Chipper. There's nothing better than watching birds drink and bathe in water you provide for them. Right?

I'll bet they love your bird bath, Lynne. I keep promising to set one up, by never have gotten around to it.
I like the ripples in the water--and how cool it looks on a warm summer day.

Liza- Thanks! It sits on the ground and has a dripper.

Jenny- Yes there is a pair of Chipping Sparrows there.

Shellmo- It's an interesting perspective isn't it?

Linda- The birds really love it on such a hot day.

ncmountainwoman- It does pose a bit of a challenge for id!

Susan- I took those photos from my second story bedroom window (no screen) looking straight down on the unsuspecting birds!

Jayne- It was a hot and busy day in the bath!

Marsha- The goldfinch is my favorite picture too.

May- Yup! A chipper! It does feel good to provide something that they need.

Cory- Yup! Red-breasted Grosbeak.

Nina- I have a little pond and three birdbaths but this one is by far the most popular.

What a snazzy birdbath!

I remembered the photos you took from the window a while ago, so I figured out where you were when you took these. Great shots, Lynne.
