I'm Thankful for You All

Thanksgiving is the appointed time for focusing on the good in our lives.
In each of our days, we can find small blessings, but too often we overlook them,
choosing instead to spend our timepaying attention to problems.
We give our energy to those who cause us trouble
instead of those who bring peace.
Starting now,
let’s be on the lookoutfor the bits of pleasure in each hour,
and appreciate the people who bring love and light
to everyone who is blessed to know them.
You are one of those people.
On Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for you.
Happy Thanksgiving!

I printed this to remind myself to look for little bits of pleasure.

We readers are so thankful for you, Lynne. Someday I hope our paths will cross in person.

That is soooo true! We can have 10 good things happen in a day but the one bad thing that comes along is the one we focus on. Thanks for reminding us what is important.

Those are Hasty Brook Turkeys, no? They are beautiful. I'm trying hard to stick close to the positive people and ignore the troublemakers. Not an easy task sometimes as they can be sneaky! During the past year I have cut some people from my blog reading and rss feeds for getting political on an otherwise nice blog. Delete, Poof, they are gone. It was easy. It's wonderful. There are plenty of really good blogs out there to read. I'm thankful for yours.

How true is the comment about wasting our energy on "those who cause us trouble." Thanks for the reminder.
