What do you MEAN you don't have time to blog?

This is one of the education eagles from the Raptor Center that I photographed last September at Carpenter Nature Center
Sorry folks, I haven't been in a blogging state of mind lately. I've been working extra hours at the lab, thankful to have a job as my employer laid off 380 people last week. Winter up here in the north land means much shorter days so it seems there is not much daylight left by the time I get home from work. I can't remember the last time I even took my camera out of the case. I'm not complainin', just explainin'.

Don't forget me!

I feel so bad for all these people getting laid off. It is a scary time here, too.

That is one gorgeous head shot!

Forget you? Seriously? :c)
I know how you feel Lynne. Several times this week, I almost just posted that I'd be back after the New Year as I was feeling so very blah. Sorry to hear about the layoffs. We are fully expecting some "re-engineering" at our facility too in the near future. Love and hugs to you friend. Love this eagle shot.

Such disapproval! And from an eagle, no less. You should include a warning from the Surgeon General with this post.

"Caution: Eagle disapproval may be hazardous to your health."

Of COURSE we won't forget you, Lynne. I'm glad you still have your job in the face of the layoffs. We can only hope that the economy turns around soon, or more of us will be in the same boat.

~Kathi, reminding you that the sun will return soon

Love that eagle expression! Its says both, "where have you been?" and "don't forget me" all at once. This is definitely a season to appreciate what we have more than ever.

Yikes Lynne--380 jobs! I'm glad you're one of the fortunate ones to keep working. There have been some rumors at IBM about Manpower cutting hours and pay--hopefully they'll miss me because a paycut would seriously impact my 2009 birding festival budget!

Thank God you still have your job. Miss your posts, but I understand the busy-ness can get overwhelming. Hope your holidays are fun, safe and healthy!

Beth
p.s. I think the eagle is disapproving of the economy!

Nice face shot, and we can relate on blogging we've been caught up with other day to day issues to have much time blogging let alone photography. Hopefully we'll get back out there.

No forgetting here--in this economy, having a job is a good thing; holding on to it--even better.

We all need to take breaks now & then for various reasons -- just post when you can -- but don't forget us! I too am glad that you are able to keep working -- it is such difficult time for so many.

Who can forget you, Lynne? We are all trying to keep our heads above "water" both economically and time-wise, especially this time of year. Stay cool, friend. We'll be here when you return. Got anymore gorgeous archives like this one? Wow!

Lynne: Boy, can I relate to how these short days limit your photography. That's a major reason why I'm looking forward to longer days again!

Glad to hear you have lots of work. I'm thankful every day for work.
I'll never forget you Lynne!

Oh my goodness! That eagle most certainly did have a look on it's face like "what is wrong with you?"

No worries Lynne :) I'm suffering from a similar problem. When I'm at work this season, I actually have to work :( And then it's dark by the time I head for home. Before yesterday, my camera hadn't been used since 11/27.

Hang in there! Besides even here in the bannana belt the mind is numbing due to the cold and thinking even to blog is being numbed.

Lynn, so glad you still have your job! I know a couple of my kids are struggling just to get the hours they need and my son's fiance has not been able to find a job for many months now. I haven't forgotten you and we all love you! I know you will be back when the time is right. Always nice to see your smiling face in my comments! Merry Christmas!
