Oh Lynne, you guys were on a school bus for this journey weren't you? YIKES! I've seen some roads similar to this down in Fillmore and Houston Counties......ya gotta go where the birds are!!
Hi Lynne, I'm with Beth....My heart did a little skip when I looked at those photographs...I miss WV and I miss the fun we had! I love country winding narrow dirt roads...
I love country roads. Hubby and I are out quite frequently on the backroads around here. The last time we went, we were rewarded by seeing two Red-headed Woodpeckers. Nice photos!
The last photo reminds me of the road into Cataloochee Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Only there were no guardrails there. Love the 2nd photo.
Wow, what beautiful country! Those are all gorgeous shots, Lynne -- and make me want to pack up and head for West Virginia. Mountain Momma. Take me hoooooome, country roads... (Sorry, just couldn't help myself!)

Gorgeous countryside - these are the kind of roads we love. I especially like the foggy "hug the mountain" shot!

A little misty morning fog in the greening woods, a winding gravel road…it just doesn't get much prettier!

There's nothing like early morn..a nice cup of hot coffee and one of these back roads to walk!!
Great captures of sites we need to see more of...
Cool! They look lovely!
The fog and mist might have made for worse birding, but it certainly enhanced the look of the roads and area. Great photographs.
Awwww - I'm homesick!
That last pic is the Sugar Creek trip, yes?

Very nice photos Lynne, the last one is breath taking, and that is during the daylight.

These are gorgeous images!
...peaceful, green, lush, misty....I'm glad I have "Country Roads" playing in my mind now. These are beautiful.
I love these shots, but especially the one with the old house (barn?) in the mist. That's a great photo, really evocative of silence and solitude.
Cheers
