Gorgeous countryside - these are the kind of roads we love. I especially like the foggy "hug the mountain" shot!

How did you control yourself and not post the lyrics that go with those photos?

Mountain Mama... take me home :)

Those are very cool little roads, and with it being as cool as it was - no bugs!

A little misty morning fog in the greening woods, a winding gravel road…it just doesn't get much prettier!

I love country roads. Hubby and I are out quite frequently on the backroads around here. The last time we went, we were rewarded by seeing two Red-headed Woodpeckers. Nice photos!

Cool! They look lovely!

The fog and mist might have made for worse birding, but it certainly enhanced the look of the roads and area. Great photographs.

The last photo reminds me of the road into Cataloochee Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Only there were no guardrails there. Love the 2nd photo.

I love these shots, but especially the one with the old house (barn?) in the mist. That's a great photo, really evocative of silence and solitude.

Cheers
