Maybe Color Will Help

I've been in a bit of a funk for the last few days. I worked my stretch of nights last week end, felt kind of puny, too tired, busy with kid stuff, and welcome to the Northland, it gets dark at 4:30PM! How about some hot-pink asters? And fuzzy bees?
No, it's not blooming now, but it does bloom last in my garden. On really chilly nights, the bees snuggle in and the flowers close up around them!
In the morning all you would see were little bee butts poking out from the petals!
I'm envisioning myself tucked in an aster...
nothing showing but...
STOP!!! (shudder!)

Hee hee! Butts! Love those gorgeous asters and bee butts.
What? Didn't my blog entry of a blizzard cheer you up? Only kidding. I've been looking through spring/summer/fall photos myself to see color. It seems like you no sooner get out of bed, let the light in, and you have to turn around and close up the house again.

Pam-
I would LOVE a good snow storm! It's been warm and rainy here, lots of brown. Some nice clean white would be nice...

Thanks, Lynne! I needed the color boost today. You have a funny way of describing cute things (bee butts). LOL

I'm posting this comment not as a blogger, but "other" and typing in my name and http. This should work as it did on Ruth's blog a few minutes ago.

Oh, your flowers are wonderful. I am also ready for some color- even if it is white. This dirty brown is getting old fast!

Love the idea of bees tucked in for the night inside an aster. Very nice!

The winter blues have hit here too and I'm finding that what you really should do is tear your living room apart completely, paint it, and then somehow find the energy to put it all back together again.

Or maybe that's just me!

Sigh. Hang in there!

What a gorgeous pink! If those smiling asters don't perk you up, I don't know what will. The power of flowers is astounding, isn't it?!!

Thanks for the beautiful pics.

(Thank goodness Blogger is letting me comment again)
Love the fuzzy bee butts.
We don't have brown here...we have green. It's been so warm, some new grass is starting to poke up in the flower beds!

Well, that made me laugh out loud! I've never seen bee butts sticking out of an aster! The closest I've come is watching them crawl into a foxglove and having a good time. My life is lacking!

I am also late commenting, and today Blogger is recognizing me once again...yea! The flowers are beautiful Lynne. I think we're all a bit caught up in the frenzy and at times want to just put our heads under the covers until it's all done. Hope your spirits are lifting. Seeing this reminder of what is to come in the spring, makes me so hopeful for the coming warmth. ((((HUGS)))) to you.
