Hasty Brook is the loveliest place in my world. It's a little piece of heaven in northern Minnesota.
Goldfinches are so striking, I wish I'd get them to come regularly to my house. We may go see Stardust this evening. I don't think my husband is real keen on it but agreed to go. He liked shows like Firefly and Lord of the Ring which are fantasy-like movies so I'm hoping he'll like this one, too. Thanks for the tip on the movie. I hope we like it or I'll blame you, ha.
They must have thought it was Saturday. So cute! I love watching birdies bathing.
Hmmm. Is that cute bunny taking a dust bath? Lynne! I just noticed. I have that exact birdbath, but it's been out of commission for a couple years. Yours looks so well-cared for. I think I'll go out and do a little house-keeping:0)
Linda- those goldfinches practically glow on a cloudy day. I'm always uneasy recommending movies, everyone's tases are so different. I hope you both like it!May- Do you bath only on Saturday too!! ;)Cathy- Yep, it's a dust bathing bunny. She had just rolled over (360) but of course I couldn't catch that on film. Are you talking about the birdbath with the goldfinches? That is by far the most popular birdbath in my yard. It connects to the hose and trickles water.
Nice goldfinch photo! I love how that one has his tail fanned out. They've been going through the thistle seed as fast as I can keep the feeder filled lately.
I like the goldfinch shot. Kind of looks like they are at a fancy spa. Did you shoot off the porch, or were you that close to them?
I love watching birdies take their baths!
Yep. The very same one. I've got to recommission mine.
Hi Lynne,You're so lucky to get those goldfinch pictures. If I even get close to the window, they're gone.Cute bunny...she's really diggin' that dirt!
Love your dust bunny and gold finches. Gold finches are everywhere right now. I like their cheery voices and bobbing flight.ruth
Be sure to get those wing pits, guys!
Just thought I'd let you know we did like the movie, Stardust. It was very entertaining. The first half hour I wasn't so sure (I was afraid my husband wasn't liking it) but it got a lot better as it went along. It has some humorous parts that we chuckled about. We thought that we would be the only ones there but it had a good crowd for a Thursday night. The crowd actually applauded when it was done. Very few movies do we go to that the crowd does that.
I love that birdbath Lynne. :c) I only have the occasional goldfinch these days. Sweet seeing them enjoy the water.
How adorable! Thanks so much for sharing.Hugs,Laurie
nice overhead picture of the Goldfinches-Cute bunny too.
Great benneh bath pic! I knew I really needed to set up a dust bath in the back yard for birds--but I didn't know bennehs would use it too!
Linne must be working the night shift... :o)
