Idol Prediction

I spent the day at home with a sick child today. That combined with the weather is making me feel nutty stir crazy, thus the rambling, disjointed post.
Tonight's American Idol is done and I'm ready to make my prediction: the season winner- Melinda Doolittle! This woman has the most amazing voice. Funny Valentine tonight, goosebumps for me. Ok, TV off.
The wind has been howling all evening and now the snow is coming down like crazy. They're forecasting 10-16 inches by tomorrow night. That added to the foot we got last weekend will be more that we got all winter. Huh. Can't wait to see what the snowplow leaves for us at the bottom of the driveway in the morning.
I did slip out this afternoon and got a cute new haircut. If I can't have spring at least I can have a new face looking back at me in the mirror!
I've added a new name to my blogroll. Welcome to Larry at The Brownstone Birding Blog. He's got interesting bird stuff and he does posts called "Bird-Song Lyrics Game". It's a lot of fun- check him out!
Art and John are outside snowblowing the driveway of the first 5 inches of this snowfall. We'll see what we get!

Oh, I like her too Lynne! She is just so unassumming. Like Simon told her, she is so talented but does not even know how much so. I'd love for someone like her, who has been in the background forever, to shine!

Can't wait to see your new haircut! Have a wonderful day.

I love your disjointed rambling, Lynne - you need to do it more often!

Melinda gave me the chills! I don't think I've ever seen an American Idol season have so many talented women with strong voices so early in the competition. Most of the time, there's promise and room for improvement. These gals are winners from the start! I like Melinda, Lakesha, the girl who sang Beyonce's "Dangerouly in Love" (one of my favorite songs), Gina, and I can't remember a few others I thought were great.

The gal from NJ should go soon and the girl with the straight red hair. They sing well but can't compete with others I mentioned.

New haircut - new you, ey?

I think Melinda has the best combination of voice and style. She does seem very nice but maybe she's playing up the shyness a little bit-you never know.-also-thanks for putting me on your blog-I guess I'll have to come up with some more games once I run out of birds songs.

I'm sorry I know nothing about Idol - but I did hear that Simon was getting dis'd a couple of weeks ago - what was up with that?
New haircut - very cool! Can we see please?

I'd love to see the haircut, Lynne!

I'm clueless with the Idol stuff, as with most TV. Hear enough about it at work to pretend to know what you're all talking about!

Go Melinda!?!

Jayne- Her voice gives me goosebumps!

Mary- There really is a talented bunch of women.

Larry- You might be right about the shyness.

LauraH- I might have to get a picture of "the hair"

Melinda was amazing and I got chills as well. I was very unhappy with the results last night however. People who needed to stay stayed and others who have shown repeatedly that they have no business being there are still there. I don't understand that at all.

liza lee- Art said he'd heard that there are groups out there that phone in just to keep the stinkers on the show!
