Hasty Brook is the loveliest place in my world. It's a little piece of heaven in northern Minnesota.

What a great series of photos. In the second one I was trying to figure out what the heck that was..thought you were going to show us a big fish! Somehow I missed the finch sitting on the side of the bath in the first photo. Duh!
LauraO- It's a little hard to see, but in that first pic the house finch is flinging his right wing at the goldfinch. He flapped that wing 4-5 times, then the goldfinch left!
Susan- No- I was not hanging from a tree!! I got an awesome new camera for my birthday (Nikon Coolpix S10). I took the pics from a second story window, looking down on the bird bath.
LauraH- The birds love that particular bath. I bought it last year on clearance at a garden center. It has a dripper, a shallow end and has a sandy finish. It gets way more traffic than our pedestal birdbaths.

How did you get those photos? Were you hanging from a window or tree?

I was wondering if you were hanging out of a window. What a great perspective of the bird bath.
